Android system and vehicle system integrate harmony. This is a new backup camera, it can give you a full sight of the back of your car when you are driving. This might be why you can’t get the camera to work you might crawl under the bumper and see what connects to the other side of that socket.Looking for backup camera ford f150? For backup camera, dvd player, rearview mirror with lcd monitor etc. Maybe trucks will be built with the wiring harness to that socket having the extra connections, but the pictures I’ve seen people post so far didn’t look like it was there. Perhaps Ford meant to have this, but for some reason hasn’t decided to implement it yet. I’ve never seen an option to add this ability. I’m a bit confused about all of this, but it seems like the earlier plans to have the F-150 support trailer cams have gone away. Maybe we do have to wait for Ford to come out with an updated part number, but it does seem odd that Ford would not just use the same hardware and programming as the 250/350.i have seen other threads where people look at the other side of that socket for the pro trailer backup sensor, and even though there are a number of pins on the socket, there are only a few wires attached, not enough to support a trailer camera. I did get the AB files from a 350 with the Pro Trailer option with the trailer camera, and the line that I was thinking to change is not even a line option in the 350 ( 706-18-01). It doesn't appear that this should have to happen though before the the camera will show as I can see the aux camera symbol but the blue screen with the camera crossed out as shown above. The only thing I can think of aside from the Forscan change I am going to try is that I have not set up a trailer for Pro Assist yet. Originally I figured it should just be plug and play, but I haven't been able to get it to work yet. I don't use the trailer backup assist, but do want the camera off the back of the trailer that will show through the SYNC screen rather than having to mount a separate screen. Ford does not have a part number available for the F150 yet, but I figured there was no way that they would use something different than the 250/350, especially since the plugs in the bumper are identical now, so I purchased the 250/350 part number to try. Has the yaw unit that you mount to the tongue of the trailer instead of the stickers, just like the F250/350 can already do and from what the manual says the F150 should be able to do now as well. That would be nice, but I don't want to mount a separate screen. ![]() ![]() It should only work when the vehicle is in reverse, and not show rear traffic all the time. It is a Ford unit that it integrated with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist. ![]()
